The value of clinical testing

To provide targeted Nutritional Therapy that addresses your specific health concerns, Jacinta often recommends functional and/or DNA testing. Testing provides an effective way of identifying root causes and underlying imbalances that may be contributing to health issues. Rather than decision making based on symptoms alone, clinical testing enables nutritional planning to be based on your personal data.

The tests that Jacinta recommends vary widely and are determined by the information you provide during your consultations. At Thistle Nutrition only highly reputable testing laboratories are used, and you are provided with a copy of your detailed test results, which Jacinta will talk through with you, along with written interpretation of the results. The findings of these tests will be incorporated into your Nutrition, Supplement and Lifestyle Plan.

Pricing

Testing comes at additional cost to the consulting fee. Depending on the test and the testing house used prices vary and may range from £70 upwards. Jacinta will provide rationale for recommendation of specific tests for you and will detail the costs in your plan to support your decision making.

A test administration/interpretation fee that covers Jacinta’s time in sourcing and organising the appropriate test to be sent to you, support with test requirements and preparation, discussion of results with the testing house laboratory and a written interpretation of results that you can use in conjunction with the raw data is 20% of the test fee.
